James Edward Anderson

James Edward Anderson, born August 4th, 1940, passed away peacefully around 6:30pm on Thursday April 13th at the age of 82. He is survived by his sons, Michael and Eric, his brother Tom, his granddaughter Brittany, his grandson Max and his wife Kay and stepson Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Charlotte Anderson.

Jim was a proud Air Force veteran who served in Viet Nam, the Philippines and Panama and who prided himself in his service of his country and never lost his passion for fighting for it. He spent his entire professional life working for the same company through multiple name and ownership changes , providing for his family and encouraging them to always be the very best they could be. He loved golfing, fishing, hiking, gardening, yard work and tinkering around on various projects in his garage workshop. He was a graduate of Purdue University and a rabid Boilermaker and Notre Dame sports fan.

A private celebration of life will be held in his honor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his name to the American Heart Association to support treatment and prevention of heart disease.
