Born on September 9, 1943, James lived an exemplary life marked by devotion to his family, his church, and his passion for golf.

James is lovingly remembered by his wife, Joyce Allen, to whom he was a supportive spouse and lifelong companion of 62 years. He is survived by sisters Linda Teems and Cathy Roach.
