Jacqueline Spangler Taylor lived in Greenville, SC for 48 years and died peacefully with family and friends on November 27, 2015. Jackie, born in Cleveland County, NC on July 23, 1943 graduated from Gardner Webb and Limestone Colleges with a BS in 1965. She taught school after graduating but later concentrated on raising her family. A member of Christ Episcopal Church since 1971 where she taught Sunday School for one year. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter and a considerate neighbor. Her favorite talents were crafts and gardening: sewing, embroidery, picture making and rug tufting. She sewed over a thousand duffle bags and donated them to Pendleton Place' foster children. She happily rooted and distributed hundreds of Azaleas and Gardenias to friends and neighbors.
She is survived by her husband, Peter, her children, Adam Taylor (wife Melody) and Caroline Syracuse (husband Barry) , and grandchildren Addi and Aidan Syracuse, her 6 siblings: Carroll, Daniel, David and Janice Spangler, Joanne Spangler Brenda Cook and best friend, Fran Spicer.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel at Christ Episcopal Church, Greenville, SC on December 10 at 3pm
