Rev. J.B. Henry Smith

Rev. J.B. Henry Smith, age 83, went home to be with the Lord, April 8, 2023. He was the son of the late Rea D.Rogers and Floyd W.B. Smith. Rev. J.B. Henry Smith was a faithful member of the Westville Church of God of Prophecy in Greenville, South Carolina. He also pastored Westminster and Simpsonville Church of God of Prophecy.
He is survived by one sister, Kathren Smith-Young, of Greenville; three sons, David of Inman, SC, Scott of Jacksonville, FL, and Daniel Smith of Greenville; and one daughter, Shirley Jean of St. Joseph, MO; plus numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
J.B. was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn Smith and Brenda Smith Pye; brother, Rev. Floyd Smith Jr.; and two sons, Michael and Jimmy.
Rev. J.B. Henry Smith served in the military on two tours of duty to Vietnam. He was proud to serve our country and retired from the Navy after 20 years of honorable service. He will be truly missed by his family and Friends.
Memorial contributions may be made in J.B.’s name to Miracle Hill Ministries, of Greenville, SC. The Smith family would especially like to express gratitude to Amedisys Hospice, especially Gretal, RN, Denise, RN, Brandy, CNA and Audrey, social worker.
Services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, April 13 in the mausoleum chapel at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
