Ingeborg E. Evans, known affectionately as Inge, passed away peacefully at her home on April 3, 2024, at the age of 96. Born on July 5, 1927, in Munich, Germany, Inge was a beacon of resilience and joy throughout her remarkable life.
Inge's early years in Germany were marked by the love and guidance of her parents, William Wilhelm and Pia Sophie Vollmeier Anzer, both of whom predeceased her. The family's warmth and unity were further embodied in the close bond Inge shared with her sisters, Sylvia Nothhelfer and Helga Adamczyk.
In her youth, Inge's adventurous spirit led her to cross the Atlantic, where she would meet and eventually marry the love of her life, Herbert R. Evans, who preceded her in death. Their enduring partnership was a testament to mutual respect and devotion, qualities that Inge instilled in her own family.
Inge's legacy is carried on by her beloved daughter, Carmen E. (John W.) Moon, and her adored grandsons, Shawn P. Baker and Stacey W. (Stacey) Baker. Her memory will also be cherished by her great-grandsons, Austin L. Baker, Brent Baker, and Cameron Baker, who will continue to be inspired by her strength and kindness.
Throughout her life, Inge was a source of unwavering support and wisdom for her family. Her ability to face life's challenges with grace and her capacity for unconditional love were her gifts to those who knew her. Inge's presence was a comfort, her laughter a joy, and her guidance a constant in the lives of her family and friends.
