Idalea M Kruse

Idalea M Kruse, known affectionately as “Lea”, passed away peacefully on
November 17, 2023, in Fountain Inn, South Carolina, at the age of 94. A native
of Bloomington, Indiana, born on July 21, 1929, Idalea was a loving wife to her
late husband, John A Kruse, and an exceptional mother to her five children.
She is survived by her daughter Jo Ellen Neeley of Fountain Inn, South Carolina;
her sons Danny Fleener of Houston, Texas, Tim Kruse of Indianapolis, Indiana,
Tom Kruse of Shelbyville, Indiana, and Eric Kruse of Fountain Inn, South Carolina.
Idalea was the grandmother to fifteen grandchildren, a great-grandmother to
twenty great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandmother to thirteen great-
great-grandchildren.

Idalea was a Bloomington High School graduate, who then dedicated 20 years
of her life working at RCA in Indianapolis, Indiana. Idalea was a woman of many
interests. She possessed a love for reading that was insatiable. She found joy and
peace in the quiet moments spent turning the pages of a good book. Additionally,
she had a talent for crocheting, creating beautiful pieces for her friends and family
to cherish.

In remembering Idalea, we remember a woman who was much more than the
sum of her years. Her legacy will live on in her family, as well as the countless
others whose lives she touched. May we always remember Idalea M Kruse for the
incredible woman that she was, and may we find comfort in the knowledge that her
spirit will continue to guide us all. She will be greatly missed and forever loved.
