Hugh Watson

Hugh E. Watson, 95, of Anderson, SC passed away on February 19, 2016. He was born in Canistota, South Dakota to the late George and Mabel Watson. He was a member of Walhalla Presbyterian Church. Hugh retired after serving in the US Navy as a Lieutenant for 3 years. He was preceded in death by wives: Wilma Johnson and Fay Schavitz; step-daughter: Letitia Barton; Sisters: Viola Hansen, Mary Shabino, Edith Stevens; and brother: Walter Watson. Hugh is survived by a step-daughter: Karen Persons; Step-sons: Ed Schavitz and Curt Schavitz; Nephews: Roger Hansen and Curtis Stevens; Nieces: Shirley Jerman, Joan Everett and Pauline Scott. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. at Brookdale Place in Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Hugh Watson to: Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621 or Walhalla Presbyterian Church, 600 E.
