Howard Caswell Moore died at Rolling Green Village on Wednesday, November
29, 2023. Howard was married to Ann Fornoff Moore for 48 years. They led a
loving and happy life together. Howard leaves family in Gastonia, NC (Jack, Betty,
Nancy, Scott Moore and Ray Huffstettler) Pat and Lou Fornoff in New Jersey, Mary
and Dave Wright in Atlanta. Also special friends Judy Olson, Ro Hunter, David
State and Steve Rigdon.
Howard grew up in Gastonia, N.C. and moved to Greenville after serving in the
military. He proudly served six years in the USS Navy during the Vietnam Era.
He retired early from Michelin Research Company and went to Clemson
University and obtained a Financial Degree. He was a longtime volunteer for
Loaves and Fishes and attended St. Anthony of Padua Church. Howard loved
playing tennis and exercising at the Sports Club and was a Clemson and Panthers
fan. He also loved driving his dogs around in his red truck.
Howard was a good and decent person, always available to help, and very
generous with his time and talent.
Thanks to Open Arms Hospice and the skilled nursing staff at Rolling Green for
taking such good care of Howard in his final days.
