Herman Matthew (Matt) Myers III
Greenville – Herman Matthew (Matt) Myers died Friday, May 21, 2021, at the age of 64.
From Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Herman Matthew Myers Jr. and Laura Willann Campbell Myers.
Matt was an avid golfer and had a knack for making friends wherever he went. He maintained lifelong friendships as well as constantly making new friends in whatever setting he found himself. He was a 1974 graduate of Berea High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He was retired from Kloeckner Metals.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to the wonderful caregivers at MUSC, The Greenville Cancer Center, as well as his Hospice team.
He is predeceased by his wife Shirley Leonard. He is survived by two siblings, John Myers (Elaine) of Portland, OR, and Laura Baur (Mike) of Simpsonville, SC; his niece and nephews Sara Myers, Ben Baur, and Will Baur; and his cousin Cathy Shuford (Jacob).
There will be a celebration of life held at a later date.
Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
