Helen Morey

Helen Morey, 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at National Health Care Nursing Home in Greenville, South Carolina. Born in Piggott, Arkansas December 5, 1922 to the late Frank Foster & Elsie Pinkston Foster, Helen is preceded in death by her former spouse, Julius Moore and later, Sgt. Leo Marvin Morey of the United States Army. She is also preceded by a brother, Noel Foster. Early in life Helen studied to be a nurse, and worked in a nursing home while raising her children. Her greatest joy, later in life was visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren in the nursing home along with her friends, wonderful nurses, and hospice workers who cared for her. Surviving are her 5 children, Julia (Moore) Ahrent of Corning, Arkansas, Sharon (Moore) Litty of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Janice (Moore) Stoenner of Taylors, South Carolina, Ricky Morey of Killeen, Texas, and Roy Morey of Panama City, Florida; brother, Glenn Foster; 11 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and 10 great-great grandchildren.Her burial will be in Columbus, Georgia at Parkhill Cemetery.
