Helen Estelle Maloney, born September 13, 1934 in New York City, New York, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who was a long-time resident of Taylors, SC, died unexpectedly on February 11, 2018 at the age of 83.
Helen was married on November 20, 1952 to the love of her life Robert (her Bobby), they were happily married for 48 years until he took his last breath on August 5, 2000. Helen’s love for family was unparalleled and was the source of her greatest joy. She is survived by her children and grandchildren, son John Maloney of Texas and his children Deirdre Hanson (NJ), LJ Maloney (TX), Shannon Maloney (TX); son Robert Maloney wife Bridie of New Jersey and their children Robert Maloney (NJ) Bridie Jean Sandoval (NJ); daughter Dorene Abromavage of South Carolina and her children Keri-Anne Patterson (SC) Steven Winburn (SC); son Russell Maloney wife Jocelyn of South Carolina and his children Katlyn Maloney (NJ), Kelly Maloney (CA), Kourtney Maloney(NJ); son Patrick Maloney wife Melinda of North Carolina and their children Shaun Maloney (NC), Conner Maloney (NC), Ian Maloney (NC), Dillan Maloney (NC); daughter Helen Kennedy husband Martin of New Jersey and their son Brian Kennedy (NJ) and her children Christine Schlagenhaft (NJ) Cheryl Schlagenhaft (NJ) Gary Schlagenhaft (NJ); son Matthew Maloney wife Jessica of South Carolina and his children Alexander Maloney (NC) Alyssa Maloney (SC); son Thomas Maloney and his children Jade Pickens (SC), Elizabethrene Maloney (SC), Emma Rose Maloney (SC).She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Thomas, Natalie, Noah, Emma, Ella, Michael, Helena, Penny, Zachary Nicholas,Kashmir Carol, Olivia Grace, and Reynaldo.
Helen received her nursing license in 1982 and had a passion for work in geriatrics. She enjoyed spending her days with her loyal best friend, her dog Muggs. He could always put a smile on her face and brought her so much joy. The family would like to thank St Francis Downtown 7th Floor Nurses and McCall Hospice House for all they did to love and care for her.
