Hattie Slatton Bryant

Hattie Slatton Bryant, 90, of Taylors, SC, widow of Melvin Bryant, Sr., passed away on October 26, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Slatton and Leila Smith Slatton of Tigerville, SC.

Survivors include her children: Nancy Dill (John); Melvin Bryant, Jr.; Wilma Shealy (Steven); Angie Chastain (Steve); grandchildren: Chris Dill (Dyane); Jennifer Dill Miller (Marty); Taryn Bryant Richnafsky (Jeff); Adam Shealy (Shea); Aaron Shealy (Lauren); Nikki Simpson (Adam); Katelyn Patterson (Kenny Bullington). Her 17 great-grandchildren Gregory, Devin, Noah, Kensey, Cade, Graham, Ben, Blake, Owen, Evan, Easton, Emmett, Hunter, Emma, Caleb, Keaton, Kane. She loved her numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased in death by her brothers James, Ralph and Carl Slatton and sister Mary Lou Slatton Jordan; grandson Greg Bryant Bunker and granddaughter Anna Shealy Cannon.
The family extends love and gratitude to Tana Reini and Jenna Grove for their loving care of Hattie. She loved you both so much. “Granny” Hattie was a member of Blue Ridge Baptist Church, Greer, SC where she served in ministry as Sunday School teacher and ministered in hospitality and other roles.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, November 26 at 2 pm at the Blue Ridge Baptist Church, 3950 Pennington Road, Greer, SC. NO FLOWERS PLEASE. Memorials to the Blue Ridge Baptist Church and Gideons International.
