TSgt. Haskell O James (USAF, Retired) passed away at Richard M. Campbell Veterans' Nursing Home in Anderson, South Carolina on December 27th 2016. His death was caused by complications of Parkinson's Disease, which he struggled against valiantly for over a decade.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert Harold James and Bessie Gunter James. He is also preceded in death by his sisters Leona James Johns, Annie Ruth James Reed, Mildred James Whitt, Mary-Jo James Deal and Jaunita James Jackson. He was also preceded in death by a bother, Billy Ray James, who died on the day of his birth.
In addition, he was preceded in death by his wife of many years, Eileen Mary (Fox) James, and a daughter, Beverley Ann (James) Merck.
He is survived by a son, Gary Ray James, and a daughter, Meegan Ellen (James) Hoffer. He is also survived by Meegan's children, his grandchildren, Amanda Gale (Hoffer) Swindell, Lindsay Danelle (Hoffer) Stanford and Brian C. Hoffer. Haskell also had two great-grandchildren, Austin William Stanford, son of Lindsay and Abigail Grace Swindell, daughter of Amanda.

In accordance with his wishes his remains were cremated and there will not be a viewing or visitation. Arrangements are being handled by Cremation Society of South Carolina (

) A memorial service will be held in the American Legion Hall at Richard M. Campbell Veterans' Nursing Home in Anderson, SC on Saturday, January 14th at 2:00pm.
