Seneca, SC—Harry Ralph Geist, Jr., 65, of Seneca, SC, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
Originally from Califon, NJ, “Skip” was the son of the late Harry Ralph Geist, Sr. and Betty Sliker Geist. He graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School and began working in the insulation and building industries. Many years later, Skip found a profession that he truly loved, and spent the majority of his career working as a Chief Operator for Sperry Rail Service. His job allowed him to travel throughout the United States, which gave him great fulfillment. Skip was an avid fan of the Clemson Tigers, NASCAR and golf. He was a talented musician and model railroad enthusiast. During his retirement, he enjoyed spending time doing home renovations and making birdhouses and other special projects in his workshop.
Mr. Geist is survived by brother, Douglas Allen Geist of Moultrie, GA; sister, Amy Geist Franklin (Dottie) of Charlotte, NC; nieces, Olivia Belding (Nick), Morgan Belding (Robert), and Emily Franklin; nephew, Alex Franklin; as well as many cousins. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Lynn Cheryl Belding, and his parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be arranged at a later date.
