Harry Edward Paquin, 84, the husband of Brenda Cora French Paquin, passed away Saturday, May 15th, 2021, peacefully in his sleep at his home, in Travelers Rest, SC. Harry was born to the late Harry Augustus and Velma Florence Salls Paquin at the family farm in North Danville, VT on July 23rd, 1936.
Harry graduated from Danville High School “Class of 1956.” He was enlisted in the National Guard and was active in the Army Reserves. Throughout his life he worked as a Welder, Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Operator, and a Truck Driver. He had owned 2 dump trucks, a long-haul truck and a sawdust truck. Harry also enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, being a 4-H instructor, roller skating, dancing, riding motorcycles with his sons and attending his Church. He had an immense love for his dogs and had oxen in his youth. His family and friends fondly remember him sitting outdoors smoking his pipe.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Brenda C. Paquin who took care of Harry throughout his last years, and his children Harry Scott (Kelly) , Debra Faith Crown, Daniel Joseph (Merri) and Sharon Lynn Spangler, and a daughter in law Karen Paquin (Harv), also two step-daughters Brenda Lee Blakeman(Clay) and Betty Jean Pushee (Will). He was predeceased by his son Harvey James Paquin Sr. and his grandson Harvey James Paquin Jr. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren: Jennifer, Jacob, Caitlyn, Jasmin, Danielle, Jonathan, Jessie, Joshua, Jordan, Casey, Bayley, Colby, Carli, ShayLynn, Jase, Josh, Jeff, Jaden, Kyle, Karina, Samantha and Troy, and 18 Great Grandchildren!
He was the oldest of 8 siblings, survived by Alfred Bertram, Laura Ann, James Augustus, and predeceased by Caroline Clara, Harvey Franklin, Erlene Velma, and Betty Mae and survived by a host of Nieces and nephews, family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday May 23, 2021 at 1:00 pm at God’s House of Prayer, 480 Dividing Water Rd. Travelers Rest, SC 29690 In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to God’s House of Prayer or Greenville Humane Society in his honor.
