Harry D. Edwards, Jr., affectionately known as "Pee Wee" to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, in Spartanburg, SC, at the age of 56. Born on January 17, 1968, in Union, SC, Harry was a man whose sense of humor, thoughtfulness, and creativity touched the lives of all who knew him.
Harry was a proud graduate of his local high school, where he was known for his quick wit and artistic talents. He carried these traits into his adult life, which was marked by his dedicated service in the National Guards. His commitment to his country was matched only by his dedication to his family and friends.
Harry's family was the cornerstone of his life. He is survived by his loving father, Harry D. Edwards, Sr.; his caring stepmother, Betty Edwards; his brothers, Chris (Jessie) Edwards and Josh Edwards; his cherished children, Kymberleigh Hope and Harry D. Edwards, III; step brother, Tony West (Kim), step sisters, Lora Rogers and Luanne Green (Lee), and he was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Thomas, and his brother, Scotty Edwards. Each family member will miss him dearly and will carry forward the legacy of love that he fostered within their family.
Known for his remarkable ability to find humor in any situation, Harry's laughter was contagious, and his presence could light up a room. His thoughtful nature made him a confidant and friend to many, always ready to lend an ear or a helping hand. His creative spirit was evident in everything he did, from his storytelling to the way he approached life's challenges with innovative solutions.
Harry's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his spirit will continue to inspire laughter, kindness, and creativity in the lives of his family and friends. His legacy will live on through the countless memories shared and the love he spread throughout his life.
