Harold Lewis Willis, 91 of Greenville, SC passed away peacefully on April 21, 2022 at his home.
He was born on March 14, 1931 in Travelers Rest, SC to Lewis B. Willis and Rosa Lee Whitfield Willis.
On December 23rd, 1950, he married his sweetheart Joyce Sparks Willis. They were married for 60 years and all who saw them knew it was a special kind of love. After getting married, Harold joined the United States Army and they spent time in California. He also spent time in Alaska. They returned to Greenville where he went to work for the Gaylord Container company where he retired after 38 years. He also worked part-time with Fiber Processing for many years. Harold was a man who always had a smile for everyone.
He had a deep love for God, his family and his friends.
He was predeceased by his wife and sweetheart Joyce Sparks Willis. Surviving are his children, Randall (Teresa) Willis, and Sherry (Randall) Mullinax; grandchildren, Meghan (Matthew) Shroy, Alicia Mullinax, and Samuel Mullinax; great-granddaughters, Bella and Scarlett; and his greatest joy for the last two years, great-grandson, Dylan Shroy. Also surviving are his sister, Eunice Pridmore, and many nieces and nephews.
We can never thank his great friend Darwin Voet enough for his many years of friendship he shared with Harold, along with the hours of conversation and trips to the mountains.
Visitation will be Monday, April 25 at 12:00 p.m. at Cremation Society of SC-Westville Funerals Chapel, with service following at 1:00 p.m. A private committal service will be held for the family following the service.
