His transition to Greenville, South Carolina, where he would eventually pass away, brought new opportunities and experiences that he embraced with open arms. Harold's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his daughter DianneJames (Ralph), his son Haskell Reece (Elaine), and his daughter Catherine Lamar (John). He was a proud patriarch to six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense joy and pride.
Predeceased by his brothers Garland, Norman, Carl, Cleon, and Leon, and sisters , Lou Ellen Griffin, Eula Belle Reece, and Suela Mae Baxter, Harold's memory will be cherished and kept alive by the stories and lessons he shared. His life was a testament to the strength and resilience of family bonds, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.
For 40 years, Harold dedicated himself to his career as a building contractor, a vocation that not only showcased his skill and craftsmanship but also his integrity and reliability. His professional achievements were paralleled by his commitment to his faith as a dedicated deacon and active member of Westview Baptist Church. Harold's service to his church was a reflection of his deep spiritual beliefs and his desire to contribute to the well-being of his community.

Whether he was camper camping, fishing, tending to his garden, or playing his guitar or banjo, Harold found happiness in the tranquility of nature and the joy of music. Funeral services will be held on Saturday 3/15/2025 at Westview Baptist Church, 28 Jamison St, Greenville, SC 29611. Visitation will start at 12:00 PM until 12:45 PM. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM, with burial to follow at Graceland West Cemetery, 4814 White Horse Rd. Greenville, SC 29611 at 2:30 PM.
