Harold Lynn Chase passed away at his home on June 9, 2019 at the age of 66.
Born in Taberg, NY he was the oldest of 9 children. He is predeceased by his parents, Josiah T. Chase and Patricia Murdough. He is survived by his spouse of 39 years, Dollice Chase and his daughter Timber Turner, grandchildren, Kaila Bofill, Michael Turner and Dylan Turner, and Great grandchild Ezra Bofill.
So his work here is done. He received a call, an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, laughing, gardening and reading to his heart’s content. Music, laughter and love are guaranteed.
One of Harold’s favorite comedians, George Carlin once said, “I was thinking about how people seem to read the bible a lot more as they get older, and then it dawned on me—they’re cramming for their final exam.” He was reading his bible before he passed. His bible was opened to 1 Peter 1:22-25. His wife had this to say, “He wasn’t cramming for the end. He lived it and I am forever changed because of it.”
Harold was a kind, funny, intelligent and gracious man who will be missed dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to the MDS foundation in his honor.
