Gregory Demorris Whaley

Gregory Demorris "Witichta" Whaley of 22 Palm Street, was born June 14, 1953, in Greenville, South Carolina, and departed this life on Sunday, March 22, 2020, at his residence. He was the son of the late Willie C. Whaley, Jr. and Inez Wardlaw Whaley. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rosemond Whaley, and his eldest brother, Ronald Jerry Whaley. Gregory attended the public schools of Greenville county and was a proud member of the J. E. Beck High School Panthers. He had a love for sports and reading. Surviving are his daughter, Shanolly Demetra Whaley of Greenville, SC; two grandchildren: Devonte Breazeale and Dominique Breazeale, both of Greenville, SC; two sisters: Louise Whaley Brown of Milwaukee, WI, and Shaunika LaGail Whaley of Greenville, SC; one brother: Willie C. (Bill) Whaley of Greenville, SC; two aunts: Edna W. Dirton, and Mildred W. Tolen, both of Greenville, SC; five great grandchildren,a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, and his very special friend; Gail Thompson.
