She is predeceased by her husband Steven R Smith who passed in 2013.

Gloria was the cherished daughter of the late Lois A. Smith and Amos Clay Smith. She grew up in a bustling household alongside her siblings, John Smith, the late Amos Clay Smith Jr., the late Annette George, the late Robert E. Smith, and Darrell P. Smith. Her family was her pride and joy, and she was a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews, Magen Lowman, Debbie Sherman, Timmi Hagan, Randy George, Darrell Smith Jr., and Michael Smith.

A lifelong learner and dedicated professional, Gloria earned her Bachelor of Science degree and embarked on a fulfilling career as a Registered Nurse at Good Samaritan Hospital. Her compassion and dedication to her patients were evident in her tireless work. Gloria's commitment to healthcare extended beyond her nursing duties as she eventually retired as a case manager, leaving a legacy of care and advocacy that benefited countless individuals and their families.

Gloria's presence was a source of comfort and strength to her colleagues and those she served.
