Gloria Audine Burkhardt, 91 years of age, passed away in Greenville, SC on March 10, 2022, joining her husband Leonard L Burkhardt Sr., who proceeded her in death, along with her mother, father and brothers Lynn A. Say and George K. Say Jr.
Gloria was born on August 27, 1930 in Grove City, PA to George K. Say Sr. and Madge Eldress (Windland) Say. Gloria lived in Franklin, PA during her younger years and was a seamstress at the Charlene Shop in Franklin, PA.
In 1983 Leonard and Gloria moved to Port Charlotte, FL, where Gloria worked as a bank teller, and later retired from, Savings of America.
In her retirement years, Leonard and Gloria traveled throughout the United States in their motorhome, visiting their children and grandchildren along the way.
Gloria never lost her desire for shopping and eating out, ready to go at a moment’s notice.
Gloria will be missed by her children: Cynthia K. (Van) Grimm of Spartanburg, SC, Leonard L. (Laura) Burkhardt Jr. of Pittsboro, NC, Jeffrey S. (Elizabeth) Burkhardt of Pittsboro, NC. and Terry Best of VA.
Grandchildren, Nathaniel Grimm, Waxhaw, NC, Christian Grimm, Montgomery, AL, Andrew Grimm, Simpsonville, SC, Lee Burkhardt, Concord, NC, Lance Burkhardt, Lakeland, FL, Lyle Burkhardt, Longmont, CO, LeighAnne Burkhardt, Lakeland, FL., Dawn Best of VA, and ten great grandchildren.
A memorial service is scheduled June 4, 2022 at Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens Cranberry, PA, conducted by Pastor Melissa Geisler, followed by a celebration of life party in Franklin, PA.
