Mr. Gerald Garland Souther, 70, husband of the late Hilda Rebecca Souther of Anderson SC, passed away May 8, 2014, from an extended illness.

Born in Anderson County, a son of the late William Garland Souther and Mary Ruby Bobo, Mr. Souther worked in finishing and hanging sheetrock for over 40 years.

Surviving , his sister Maggie Powell of Anderson SC, his girlfriend of 8 years Ms Sue Patton of Williamston SC. His two sons William "Peewee" Souther (Loretta), of Elberton GA, and His son Frank Souther (Carol) of Washington GA. His two daughters Angela "Angie" Williamson (Steve) of Duncan SC, and his youngest daughter Suzanne "Scooby" Martin (Max), of Simpsonville SC. Mr. Souther has 14 grand-children and 18 Great-grand-children. Mr Souther is predeceased by his son, Daryl Glenn Souther of Greenville SC, his sister Peggy Scott of Elberton GA.

The family will receive friends at Westville Funeral Home 6010 White Horse Rd., Greenville SC, 29611 on May 10, from 1pm to 2pm.

Funeral service will be May 10, at 2pm.

The family will be at the home of Mr. Souther at 22 Sixth Ave. (Poe Mill) Greenville, SC 29609.
