Gerald H. Richardson, [Jerry] 91 of Taylors, SC and formerly of South Weymouth, MA passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at St. Francis Hospital, Greenville, SC. He was born in Boston on March 3, 1926, to the late Charles Wesley Richardson and Hazel Mary Hawes Richardson. A veteran of the US Navy, he served in the Atlantic and Pacific Theaters during WWII. Continuing his education, he graduated from Fitchburg State Teachers College in 1950 where he was President of his Class, and went on to earn his MEd at Tufts University. During his 35 year teaching career, he taught in Winthrop and Milton public schools. He loved his family and was always available for his children and their activities. He loved to travel but his happiest times were spent with his family. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Ann Lorimer Duguid Richardson and their son, Robert Douglas Richardson, also, brother Douglas and sisters Eileen [Demont], Hazel [Granara] and Gloria [Breault]. He is survived by his daughter Jane Richardson MacDonald, son Thomas Richardson, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
