George Taylor Russell

George Taylor Russell, 81, of Chesnee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2016. Born in Marion, NC, he was the loving husband of Roberta and the son of the late Charles and Sally Finley Russell.
George retired as a Lineman from the city of Painsville, OH. He retired to Chesnee to be close to family. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed time fishing.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his brother Claude, his children Tom, Robin, Carol and Charlie; his step-children Marshall and Ryan; and his grandchildren Thomas, Levi, TJ, Rhys, Ruby, Isaiah, Micaiah, Wyatt and Owen; Frances, his cousin, as well as several nephews and nieces.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Ruby, Annie, Doris, Modina and Meanie Bell.
A memorial service will be held at Buck Creek Baptist Church, Chesnee, SC, on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. Visitation with the friends and family will start at 6:00 p.m.
At George's request, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Buck Creek Baptist Church, 506 Buck Creek Road, Chesnee, SC 29323.
