Geneva Ann Roberts Anderson passed away peacefully on December 22,2017 in Taylors, SC at the age of 71.
Geneva is survived by her children, James Lloyd Anderson,(Brenda) of Greer SC, Jeremy Roy Anderson,(Colleen)of Greenville, SC, Justin Roberts Anderson,(Liz) Of Greer SC, and Joy Christine Anderson Lin, (Danny) of Travelers Rest SC. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, Jeremy Roy Jr, Erin Catherine, Fiona Riley, Emma Grace, James Maxwell, Jacob Clifford, Braden Conner, Shanna Abigail Lin, Serinna Faith Lin, and by her sister, Betty Roberts Colwell, (Kenton),Phoenix, AZ, and her brothers, Bill Roberts, (Sandy), Mayer, AZ, Charles Roberts (Julie), Spring Valley, AZ, and Roger Roberts,(Robin) of Sierra Vista, AZ.
She is predeceased by her husband of 40 years, Keneth Lorad Anderson of Taylors SC, and by her brothers, Lloyd, Harold, and Harry, and by her grandson, Brody Christopher Anderson.
Geneva was born on January 8, 1946 to Ermon Vaughn Roberts and Alberta Mae Fulmore at Little Rock, AR. She graduated from Sunnyslope High School in Phoenix AZ in 1963, and from Bob Jones University, Greenville SC in 1968 with a degree in Humanities. She and Keneth were married December 19, 1968.
Geneva was an accomplished executive secretary, loving wife and mother, and a champion public speaker. She poured her life into her family, but always found time to help others. She was the District 58 Governor for Toastmasters in 2001-2002 and competed successfully on 2 separate International Speech competitions. When she was not in a speech coaching session, or a business networking event, she would be found at Heritage Bible Church, Greer, SC where she was a faithful member for over 35 years, giving her well known phrase, “The Lord be praised”.
A viewing is scheduled for Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6-8 pm at Heritage Bible Church, 2005 Old Spartanburg Rd, Greer, SC 29650. The funeral will also be at Heritage Bible, on Friday January 5, 2018 at 1pm, followed by a graveside memorial. Geneva asked that any memorial contributions be given to the mission fund for Heritage Bible Church. The family would like to express tremendous gratitude to all the volunteers, friends, and caregivers who showed Geneva so much kindness in her final days.
