Gary L. Kuhlenhoelter, 78, of Simpsonville, SC, passed away on May 25, 2023 after a short illness. He graduated from Mater Dei High School in Evansville, In, in 1962, where he lettered in football, baseball, and wrestling. He later attended Indiana University in Bloomington, In, and taught English and coached football at his high school alma mater. He loved golfing, fishing, building model ships and planes, and LSU Tigers football and baseball.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents; Leroy Kuhlenhoelter, and Bennette Kuhlenhoelter; and sister Jan Kulenhoelter.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Kuhlenhoelter;, of Simpsonville, SC; sons, Bill Staton, and Frank Staton, of Simpsonville, SC; daughter, Jennifer Reynolds, of Goose Creek, SC; son-in law, John Reynolds, of Goose Creek, SC; sister, Linda Girten, of Newburgh, In; granddaughters, Lauren Reynolds, and Mary Reynolds; grandson Hugh Staton; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
