Kirk was born in Rockledge, Florida August 24th, 1959 and raised in Greenville, South Carolina. Kirk loved the outdoors. He loved to hunt and fish.
Surviving are his parents Gary K. Dodson, Sr. and Carol M. Dodson of Mauldin, SC; a brother Timothy "Tim" Dodson, Sr. (Harriet) of Greenville; four sisters, Linda Deschon of Winchester, VA; Rachel "Caroline" Dodson of Spartanburg, SC; Claire Dodson Orr (Jimmy) of Greenville; Stacey Dodson of Raleigh, NC and two step-children; Angela Rabon and Cyrus Rabon of Columbia; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; long time companion; Angel Gipson of Taylors.
