Thomas, Frederick Keith (aka Tee or Fred)
Passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2020 after a surprisingly short bout with lung cancer at the age 80.
Predeceased by his father Fred Smith Thomas, mother Rena Beatrice Rowell Dawkins and his youngest brother Marlon Ray Thomas
Lovingly remembered by his wife Susan Robbins Thomas, daughter Deborah Thomas Adkins (by his former wife, Betty Maddox Mitchell) and her husband Mark Adkins), grandson Drayton Thomas Adkins, brother John Rowell Thomas
Interests:
*Began work at an early age and was proud that he always had a job in his 40+ working years. He retired at age 57 from aluminum smelter Alumax of South Carolina in Berkeley County.
*Loved seeing the world and flying C124s and C141s in his 21+ years in the U.S. Air Force where he served as Master Sergeant and became a Flight Examiner Flight Engineer.
*Loved all types of fishing especially salt water fishing! He earned a U.S. Coast Guard license to operate or navigate passenger carrying vessels but mostly fished for fun on his boat.
*Travelling long distances on his Goldwing motorcycles. He rode his Goldwings with his wife and often with his good friend Paul Chicky to all 48 states and most of Canada including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland.
*Enjoyed playing golf with friends
*Was a prolific and fast reader. He read many types of books but especially enjoyed books that were based on true life or events. He also enjoyed Readers Digest and the Wall Street Journal.
