Fred W. Turner

Fred W. Turner, 57, beloved husband and father, went to be with the Lord on August 4, 2021. Born in Anderson, Fred was a son of the late Walter Berry and Edna Wood Turner. He was a supervisor with CMC Recycling for 32 years, and a member of Marietta First Baptist Church. Fred was a keen fisherman, enjoyed working on cars, and especially loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Teresa; four children, Brian (Ashley), Kayla (Kyle), Brandon (Denae), and David (Amber); seven grandchildren, Jaxon, Jessi-Kate, Cassidy, Clayton, Milo, Summer, and Ash; two brothers and three sisters, Irving Turner, Monkey Glenn, Chris Turner, Juanita Turner, Louise Turner, and Linda Turner. Predeceased were seven brothers and one sister, Alvin, Tommy, Margie Parson, Cowboy, Jimmy, Jackie, Sterling, and Andy.
Services will be held at Marietta First Baptist Church on Saturday, August 7, 2021. The family will receive relatives and friends from 1 - 2 PM, with the memorial service at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to MFBC Building Fund, 2936 Geer Hwy, Marietta, SC 29661.
