Francis Warren Jones

Francis Warren Jones (Pop-Pop), 71, of Campobello, S.C. passed away Monday February 29, 2016 at his home. He was born December 9, 1944 in Tryon N.C. He was the husband of Ellen B. Jones.
Francis was a life- long resident of the Landrum/Campobello area. He was a graduate of Landrum High School. Francis served in The United States Air Force during the Vietnam war. He retired from the textile industry.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen B. Jones of the home. Three sons – Marion Todd Jones (Shanna) of Greensboro, N.C., Warren Chad Jones (Elizabeth) of Campobello, S.C., and Michael Lee Jones also of Campobello, S.C. Five grandchildren – Cade Jones, Joshua Jones, Adam Jones, Sarah Jones, and Emma Jones.
Francis was predeceased by his parents, Dean and Dorothy Jones, a sister Linda Paxton, and a brother John Dean Jones Jr. Francis was the last surviving member of his family at the time of his death.
Francis was a member of Morgan Chapel Baptist Church.
A celebration of his life will be scheduled at a later date.
