Francis Harrison Horton, Jr. "Copper", 73 of Greenville, died January 13, 2017.
Born in Valdosta, GA, he was a son of the late Francis Harrison Horton, Sr. and Nancy Harkness Horton.
Copper was a member Greenville ARP Church. He faithfully served his country, his church and his Savior.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-one years, Anne Marie Webster Horton.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his three sons, Francis Harrison Horton, III “Pepper” (Lori), Samuel Redden Webster Horton (Brantley) and Edward Zachary Horton (Jan) all of Greenville, SC; ten grandchildren, Katherine Ann Horton, Christopher Webster Horton, Noah Kennedy Horton, Samuel Redden Webster Horton, Jr., Elizabeth Addison Horton, Harrison Strong Horton, William Banks Horton, Edward Zachary Horton, Jr., Benjamin Francis Horton, and Carys Leslie Horton; and a brother, Edward “Ned” Harkness Horton (Geni). Copper was a devoted husband, father, and Pop to his family.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 17, 2017, at the Greenville ARP Church, 741 Cleveland Street, Greenville, SC 29601, with visitation immediately following the service in the fellowship hall of the Greenville ARP Church.
