Frances K. Manuel, 95, devoted wife, mother and daughter, departed this life Thursday March 11, 2016 at McCall's Hospice House. Born in Saginaw, Michigan December 4, 1920 she was the daughter of Frederick M. and Ida Marie Kniebbe (Seymour). She was educated at Sacred Heart School in Saginaw. She was predeceased by her husbands Robert J. Lord 1960 and Paul R. Manuel 1984, two sisters Nancy Chartrand and Maryann Smith and a grandson, Robert A. Lowdermilk.
Surviving are her children, Nancy Lowdermilk, Sharon Scott, Robin Garrett and Charles, Robert J. Lord and Jenny, Paul J. Manuel and Kathy.
11 grandchildren : Brian Lowdermilk, Kristin Lowdermilk, John Lord, Rachel Hall, Rebecca Phillips, Adrienne Scott, Caroline Thomas, Emily, Joey, Thomas and David Manuel. 5 great grandchildren: Emeline Thomas, Ava Kate Lowdermilk, Caroline Lord, Penny Lord and Davis Hall. Another great grandchild, Andrew Bolt Scott, is expected April 11 th.
Surviving also are two sisters Patricia Kile of Saginaw Michigan and Margaret Roe of Bartonville, Illinois.
She was employed for 23 years as Deputy Sheriff of Sarasota County Florida until her retirement, when she moved to Greenville South Carolina. Frances was a loyal member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church serving as an active member of the Shawl Ministry and the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry. We are grateful to the staff of the Gardens at Eastside for their loving care and devotion and to McCall’s Hospice for their kindness.
A Memorial Mass was held at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Monday March 14, 2016. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church or McCall’s Hospice House. Interment will be at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Columbarium in Greenville South Carolina at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed at
