Evelyn Carol Welch

Evelyn Carol Welch, affectionately known as Carol, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2025, in her birthplace of Greenville, SC, at the age of 83. Born on January 4, 1942, to the late Charles Tuggle and Evelyn Carol, she was a beacon of warmth in the lives of all who knew her.

Carol dedicated her life to her family, sharing 48 wonderful years with her loving husband Charles D. Welch. She was a proud and devoted mother to her daughters, Kathryn Welch Betz and Julie Welch Brightwell, and cherished grandmother to her eight grandchildren.

A homemaker at heart, Carol found joy and purpose in the simple pleasures of cooking and creating a caring home environment. Her loving, kind, and selfless nature touched many lives, leaving an indelible mark on her family and community.

Carol's remarkable spirit and her legacy of love will forever be remembered by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Her presence will be deeply missed, yet her memory will continue to inspire us.
