Evelyn "Lesa" Meece

Evelyn "Lesa" Meece, a beacon of love and warmth, passed away on August 13, 2024. Born on August 29, 1961, in Greenwood, Lesa was a cherished individual who brought joy and kindness to all who knew her.

Lesa was predeceased by her beloved parents, Montre Butler and Thomas Meece. She is survived by her 2 nieces, Audrey Haulbrook and Sherry Wheeler, her brother Jon Meece and Jim Meece, her extended family, including JoAnn and Bobby Stewart, Jeannie Merck (Scott), Joseph, Joshua, Jayden, and Tina Headen, and her stepfather, Lauren Butler. 

For many years, Lesa served as the head cook at Ryan's restaurant, where her culinary skills and warm personality were appreciated by both colleagues and patrons. 

Lesa's passions were as nurturing as her spirit. An avid gardener, she found solace and joy in the beauty of nature. Birds held a special place in her heart, and she could often be found watching and caring for them with a sense of wonder and contentment.

Her home was filled with the love of her pets, Chip, Missy, Faith, Lucky, and Grace, who were her constant companions and recipients of her boundless affection. Lesa also had a love for shopping, finding pleasure in the simple joy of discovering new treasures and experiences.

Lesa's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, but her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will continue to inspire and comfort us all. As we bid farewell to Evelyn "Lesa" Meece, we hold tight to the cherished memories she leaves behind, a testament to a life well-lived and a heart well-loved.
