Dená was a loving mother to Kalybe Burton, a cherished sister to Dionne Penuel, and a doting aunt to Zach Penuel. A proud graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Dená channeled her keen intellect and meticulous nature into a rewarding career as a Billing Specialist. She was equally proud of her role as a Navy Mom, supporting her child with unwavering strength and eternal optimism.

Music and faith intertwined in Dená's life; her melodious voice a staple in the church and GMAC choirs. Her passions included reading, cross-stitching, and delighting loved ones with her savory cooking and exquisite baking. Nature welcomed her in the form of hiking, where she found profound peace and connection.
