Eugenia Beatrice Bridges Smith

Eugenia Beatrice Bridges Smith, 91, wife of the late Stanley Wood Smith, passed peacefully in Traveler's Rest, SC, on September 14, 2022. Born in Tampa, FL, she graduated Plant High School and was a Gator at The University of Florida. Eugenia was a homemaker, a member of St. Barnabas Anglican Church (Atlanta, GA), and loved cats.
Eugenia and her late husband were benefactors of several projects at The Atlanta Humane Society and her church. They were involved in local Atlanta politics and formerly sponsored a Gubernatorial Garden Party.
Eugenia is survived by two sons, Thomas E. Smith ( Deborah) of SC and Brian G. Smith of Georgia, and two grandchildren, Alex and Victoria. She was preceded in death by her parents Dean and Inez Bridges of Florida, and sister Irene Bridges Rey of North Carolina.
A private service will be held at St. Barnabas Anglican Church at a future date. She will be interred in the columbarium of the church sanctuary.
