Mrs. Eufalla Susan McQueen-Black

May 4, 1924 — March 2, 2019

On March 2, 2019 at 11:02 AM Jesus called my mother home. She was ready, and longed for heaven for many years. Eufalla Susan McQueen came into this world on May 4, 1924. It was a beautiful Sunday morning to Edgar Washington McQueen (Father) and Sally Amanda Dodd (Mother). She joined the family with her siblings, Clement who was born in 1921, and her older sister Mary who was born in 1919. She grew up in the Glenwood community, and went Glenwood Wesleyan Church, where she became a life-long member. She loved going to church to learn about Jesus. In 1943 she graduated from Easley High School with high honors. In 1946 she met Ray Black at a church social at Rock Springs Baptist Church, and they were married on March 21, 1948. My older sister Susan Ann (Alton Thompson) came along on April 11, 1949, and then I , Sharon Raynette came 13 years and 9 months later on January 8, 1963. Mother had always wanted a little boy and her first grandson, Jimmy Earl Hunt Jr. (Shad Lawrence) was born January 23, 1972, 2nd Samuel Eugene Hunt on April 19, 1975, 3rd Robert Riley Hunt on September 21, 1976, 4th Jonathon Raymond Lackey (Derek Davis) August 14, 1987, and then her 5th Dennis Benjamin Lackey July 19, 1988. Then in 1995 on the 29th of May, she got her first great-grandson, Justin Wesley Hunt and then her 2nd, Timothy Aaron on June 7, 1996. She was indeed blessed with her family, and she will be missed by everyone. She loved Jesus, and her Bible! She read it everyday. We will be receiving friends and family at the home of Derek Davis and Jonathon Raymond Lackey-Davis on Saturday, March 16, 2019 (300 Elm Drive, Mauldin SC, 29662). Please come and join us as we celebrate the life of Eufalla Susan McQueen Black, and if you wonder where is she is, she said look for me at Jesus's feet.
