Greenville – Erna Elinor Pritzlaff Prickett, 88, of Travelers Rest, wife of late Henry D. Prickett, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020
Born October 24, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI, she was the daughter of Edward and Erna Pritzlaff.
Erna graduated from Vassar College in 1953.
Erna was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, and traveling. Erna was a member of the Junior League and was particularly involved in puppetry.
Erna was one of the owners of Costume Associates on McBee Avenue in Greenville.
She is survived by her daughters Erna Prickett Adelson, Elise Prickett Willis, and Elinor (Lin) Suzanne Prickett, and son Henry (Hal) D. Prickett Jr; grandchildren Erna Louise Adelson, Samuel Alexander Adelson, Elinor Elise Willis, William Navarro-Prickett, and Emma Prickett. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her sister Dorothea (Dede) Pritzlaff and brother Frederick (Fritz) Charles Pritzlaff.
The funeral will be held at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 1601 North Pleasantburg Drive, Greenville, at 3 pm on Friday, March 20, 2020 with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Memorials contribution may be made to Vassar College (vassar.edu, the Natural Lands Trust (natlands.org), the Western Carolina Botanical Club (wcbotanicalclub.org), Save Our Saluda (saveoursaluda.org) or the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.
