Eric Hanson

Eric Hanson, a cherished son, father, brother, and partner, passed away at his home on November 30, 2024, at the age of 40. Born on July 10, 1984, in Bristol, Connecticut, Eric's vibrant spirit and infectious laughter brought joy to all who knew him.

Eric was the beloved son of Donna and Jeff Hanson, a protective and loving brother to Kristy Michaud, and a devoted father to his two children, Reilly and Luna.  Eric was preceded in death by his adored grandparents, Joyce and James Ostroski, and his dear sister, Nikki Ostroski. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he nurtured each relationship with love, kindness, and humor.

Professionally, Eric dedicated eight years to the Waffle House, where his culinary skills and work ethic led him to the position of top cook. His colleagues respected him for his dependability and his ability to bring warmth and laughter to the kitchen, even during the busiest shifts.

Eric's passions extended far beyond the walls of his workplace. He was an avid skateboarder, snowboarder, and gamer, always eager to catch air on his dirt bike or perform trick jumps on his bike. His love for RC trick cars was matched only by his affection for his pets. Eric had a special place in his heart for animals, caring for his own cats and dogs with tenderness and often extending his kindness to strays.

Those who knew Eric will remember him as a loving individual who approached life with a kind heart and a sense of humor that could lighten even the darkest of days. His laughter was a melody that resonated in the hearts of his loved ones, and his playful spirit was a testament to his ability to find joy in every moment.

As we bid farewell to Eric, we celebrate the legacy of love and laughter he leaves behind. His memory will continue to inspire us to embrace life with the same passion and joy that he did every day.
