 An early adopter and enthusiast of Apple Computers, Elizabeth was always at the forefront of technological advances, integrating them into her teaching methods and daily life. Her intellect was matched by her whimsical side, as seen in her love for collecting dolls. Each piece in her collection was cherished and had its own story, much like the narratives she shaped in her professional and personal life.

 Elizabeth's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her children Jonathon Thomas Broughton, Janette Elizabeth Reynolds, Christopher Donald Broughton, and Carolyn Mary Prickett. She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
