Elizabeth Sarah Walsh

Elizabeth Sarah Walsh, a beacon of love and wisdom, passed away peacefully at her home on January 3, 2025, at the age of 90. Born on September 20, 1934, in New York City, Elizabeth's life was a testament to her loving nature, kind spirit, and intelligent mind. 

Elizabeth dedicated her life to the pursuit of knowledge and the betterment of others. She achieved a Doctorate of Philosophy in Psychology from Georgia State University in 1975, which paved the way for her distinguished career as a Professor and Psychologist. Elizabeth's passion for teaching touched the lives of countless students, guiding them with patience and inspiring them with her dedication to the field of psychology.

 An early adopter and enthusiast of Apple Computers, Elizabeth was always at the forefront of technological advances, integrating them into her teaching methods and daily life. Her intellect was matched by her whimsical side, as seen in her love for collecting dolls. Each piece in her collection was cherished and had its own story, much like the narratives she shaped in her professional and personal life.

 Elizabeth's legacy is carried on by her loving family, including her children Jonathon Thomas Broughton, Janette Elizabeth Reynolds, Christopher Donald Broughton, and Carolyn Mary Prickett. She was a proud grandmother to twelve grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren, each of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.

 Those who knew Elizabeth will remember her for the words that best describe her: loving, kind, and intelligent. Her gentle guidance and unwavering support were the cornerstones of her family, and her insightful contributions to the field of psychology have left an indelible mark.
