Surrounded by her beloved family, Elizabeth “Libby” Jordan, 61, peacefully passed from her earthly home to her heavenly home on February 15, 2016. She fought a valiant fight with Alzheimer’s disease.
She claimed and believed in Jesus Christ and lived her life to reflect His glory. She was a faithful servant, always smiling, loving, and serving those around her. She was a true example of Christ to all who knew and loved her. We grieve her physical absence, but rejoice that she is completely healed and with her Savior.
Libby was born on October 5, 1954 in Greenville, SC. She was a proud Wade Hampton General and retired after years of dedicated service to the Greenville County School System. Most importantly, Libby was a devoted member at Overbrook Baptist Church and found her joy in serving in the choir. She will always be known for her contagious smile, beautiful voice, and big heart. She showed love in deep and meaningful ways!
Libby is survived by her loving and faithful husband of 40 years, Joe Jordan, Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Ryan Roberts; her son and daughter-in-law: Frank and Ashley Jordan; her beautiful granddaughters: Sara Hazel and Addie Roberts and Eliana Jordan; her sister and brother-in-law: Peggy and David Murray; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Doug and Sally Jordan; and her mother-in-law: Margaret Jordan.
A service to celebrate the life of Elizabeth Hazel Jordan will be held on Thursday, February 18, 2016 at 11:00 am at Overbrook Baptist Church 1705 E. North Street, Greenville, SC 29607.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Caris Healthcare Hospice 111 Smith Hines Rd. #D, Greenville, SC 29607
