Elizabeth Delloree 'Dody' Holtzclaw Burns

Elizabeth Delloree Holtzclaw ‘Dody’ Burns, 91, went to be with the Lord March 26, 2015.  She was predeceased by her husband, William Guy Burns; a son, William James Burns; an infant daughter; a sister, Eleanor Scott; and a son-in-law, Paul Rice.

Surviving are two sons, Robert Guy Burns, Sr. (Donna) and Stephen Burns (Sharon); one daughter, Jean Rice; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Woodside Baptist Church on Thursday, April 2.  Visitation will be from 12-1PM, with the funeral at 1PM.  Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery West.  She will be remembered for her kind heart and love for the Lord, Southern hospitality, and quick wit.  She was loved by many and will greatly missed.  Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Baptist Church Mission Fund, 725 Gate Rd., Madison, VA 22727; or Woodside Baptist Church, Greenville.  CSSC-Westville Funerals is serving the Burns family.
