Eleanor Ruth Taylor, 89, of Greenville, South Carolina, passed from this life on Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Greenville. Born on May 15, 1930 in Walhalla, South Carolina to her parents, Marshal Dickard and Margie (Barham) Dickard, she was a lifelong resident of the upstate and she owned and operated Taylor’s Produce in Greenville. She made impressions upon so many people during her life and will be remembered by many. She enjoyed going dancing and listening to country music.
Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bobby Taylor; her sisters, Katie Cook and Martha Baton. Those who will most cherish her memory are her niece, Wanda Collins and her husband, Olin of Easley, South Carolina; her great nieces and her great nephews and her best friend, Margaret Cooper of Greenville, South Carolina.
Services to remember and honor Eleanor’s life will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, July 31, 2019 in the Chapel of Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611. Officiating will be Reverend Tavera Williams and Reverend Ricky Collins. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow services where she will be laid to rest next to her husband at Oconee Memorial Park in Seneca, South Carolina. A gathering of Eleanor’s family and friends will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Wednesday just prior to the services.
