Elaine Riggs

Elaine Patterson Riggs, 65, entered into heaven Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by her children. She was born in Rockingham County, NC and a long-time resident of Marietta, SC. Elaine is survived by her children, son Roy C Riggs Jr. of Marietta and daughter Jennifer Riggs Barnette (Rick) of Harrisburg, NC. Sister Nina Patterson of Ridgeway, VA, three special nephews and several great nieces and nephews. Family in love – daughter Margaret Roberts (Jimmy Jr.). Grandchildren in love Kendra Roberts and Jacob Willett (Amanda) and great grandson in love Ayden Willett. Special friends Jean Wilson, Jaye C (Carolyn) Heard and Thom Lightle Jr. Elaine is preceded in death by her loving husband of 43 years, Roy, parents David and Lucille Patterson, sister Mary Lou Parrish and special nephew David Dix.
Elaine loved crocheting, sewing, cooking for and spending time with her friends and family. Elaine was a very loving soul who was always helping her family and friends in the community in their time of need. She will be remembered by her strong will, quick wit and sense of humor.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 to 3 pm Saturday August 5th 2017 with a celebration of life service to follow at 3pm. Flowers are welcome or donations may be made to Cancer Society of Greenville County 113 Mills Avenue Greenville, SC or Faith Home Inc. P.O.
