Edward Tennent Gibson age 86 went to be with his Lord Jesus on Sunday, February 1, 2015. Husband of Mary Ann Gibson of Greenville SC. His sons: Mark (Brooke) Gibson, of Greenville SC, Dale (Shiela) Gibson of Easley, SC, Jimmy (Brenda) Gibson of Charleston SC, Bobby Daniel of New Mexico and Craig Spivey of Savannah Ga.. Grandchildren: Corey, Kirk, Trey and Tyler Gibson, Cole Davis and Great Grandson Kylan Gibson. He is preceded in death by his daughter Vicki Davis of Hendersonville NC. Edward was born on September 14, 1928 in Marion,SC to the late Bentley and Mary Gibson. Edward is survived by his brother Frank (Marean) Gibson of Murrells Inlet SC. Preceded in death are brothers Bentley (Lib) Gibson, Bill (Jean) Gibson, Robert Gibson, sister Harriet Gibson and lifelong  companion his pet “Trevor”. Edward was a Navy Korean War Veteran. He graduated from Georgia Southern University in 1975. Edward worked for more than 20 years for Greenville County School District as an Attendance Officer. He was a great family man and a loving father. Edward enjoyed playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered for his passion for sports and love for animals along with fudging on golf scorecards just ask lifelong friend Bob Crouch.



A Visitation will be held Thursday, February 5, 2015 from 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Berea First Baptist Church. With funeral service to follow.
