Edward Lee Barrett

Edward Lee Barrett, of Simpsonville, SC, who was better known as "Eddie" by family and friends, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents: Ned Turner Barrett and Mary Cleo Monaghan; siblings: Ned Barrett and David Barrett. Eddie is survived by his daughter: Nicole Sports; step-children: Julie Jones and Joseph Wenrich; two grandchildren; great-grandson: Daniel Barrett Jones; siblings: Jackie Richter, Marjorie Thompson, and Anita Bradshaw.
Eddie was born in Houston, Texas, where he lived more of his life. He was one of five children. He retired from a nursing care facility as a chef. Spending so much time in the kitchen, Eddie loved to escape outdoors and he was happiest assisting to concerts and collecting stamps. But more than all these things, Eddie loved spending time with his family and friends. He will forever be missed and loved by the family and friends he left behind.
