Edna Mae "Cookie" Cook

Edna Mae Thacker Cook "Cookie", 89 of Greenville, died January 8, 2017

Born in Pickens, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Franklin and Exie Mae Thacker.

Edna was a member Russell Memorial Presbyterian Church 31 Calhoun Ave Greenville, she was also past matron in the Order of the Eastern Star Brandon Chapter and past member of the Daughters of the Nile.

Edna loved her children and grandchildren she missed them very much.

She is survived by one daughter, Gail Scott; three grandchildren, Julia Brissey, Zane Scott and Jonathan Strickland; 5 great grandchildren; four sisters, Sarah Strickland, Louise Carlton, Ruenell Strange and Debra Anders; and one brother Jackson Thacker. She was predeceased by her son Mark Strickland; two sisters, Francis Wyatt and Jean Fennell; two brothers, Benny and Douglas Thacker.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 17, 2017 in the chapel of CSSC-Westville Funerals, 6010 Whitehorse Rd., with visitation prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow the service at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
