Edith Virginia McCollum

Edith Virginia McCollum, age 89, of Easley, passed away peacefully at Easley Baptist Medical Center on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Edith was born on October 19, 1931, to Bessie Mae and Hovie Stephens. Edith was a retired textile worker and enjoyed spending time with her pride and joy K-9 companion, Ginger.
Edith is survived by a sister, Nancy Johnson, her granddaughters, April Wilson (Jeff), Jennifer Henson (Travis), great-grandchildren, Elijah and Ella Kate Wilson, and a daughter-in-law Cheryl Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
Edith was predeceased by her husband Ralph “Junior” McCollum, her sons, Alvin Joel Smith and Randal Jerome Smith, daughter-in-law, Barbara Smith, siblings, Ivy Stephens, Cecil Stephens, Ruth Gaffin, and Leroy Stephens, her parents Bessie Mae Stephens and William Hovie Stephens.
Due to Covid, arrangements have not been made at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory are made to the local humane society.
