Earl B. Endicott Sr

January 3, 1931 — January 26, 2022

Our sweet Dad went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2022 a few days after celebrating his 91st birthday. Earl was born in Grundy, VA and entered the Army in 1950 during the Korean War and was stationed in Germany. After he returned home to Grundy he met and married his wife Marie Sizemore before moving to Flint, MI in the 50’s where they worked and raised their family. Earl worked as a City bus driver, a welder and a guard for the Institute of Arts. He enjoyed Detroit Tiger baseball, bowling, and coffee with friends. After retiring in 1998 they moved to Greenville, SC where their son and daughter resides and to await the birth of their first granddaughter Mary Marie. Time spent with their granddaughters Mary Marie and Sunni brought them great pleasure and joy, and the girls loved being with Grandma and Poppie. Earl was much loved by immediate and extended family and friends as well as the staff at his memory care facility where he spent his days rolling around in his wheelchair, talking to fellow residents and flirting with all the ladies that took great care of him as well as the new ladies that moved in. We always received comments of how sweet and kind he was to everyone and now how much he will be missed. While dementia was taking away many of his memories, he still knew his children Sharon & Earl Jr. and his sister Audrey, his last remaining sibling. For this we are very grateful. He is preceded in death by his wife, Marie Endicott and is survived by his daughter, Sharon Eubanks (Tony), his son Earl Endicott Jr. (Paula), his 2 granddaughters Mary Marie & Sunni, and his sister Audrey Williams and many nephews and nieces. Following cremation, a memorial service will be held at 2pm on February 26, 2022 at Greenville First Nazarene Church, 1201 Haywood Rd, Greenville, SC 29615
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dementia Society of America.
